When you sign up to become a Member of the ACVSMR, we use the personal information you enter on the website or application forms as described below.

How do we use your personal information?

We only process your personal information to manage your ACVSMR membership and stay in touch with you by sending you news and updates about the ACVSMR.

Therefore, our legal basis to process your personal information is that it is necessary to track your membership status, distribute information and annual dues notices. 

With your consent, we also display your profile and contact information on the ACVSMR website in our list of Diplomates.

How we share your information?

We do not share your personal information with any third party other than the display of your profile and contact information on the ACVSMR publicly accessible website in the list of Diplomates.

Your choices and rights about your information

You can withdraw your consent of publicly sharing your contact information at any time by using the ‘Members-only’ portion of the website and select your personal preferences.

You can also request a copy of the personal information that we possess that pertains to you, including in a portable format, or that we erase or rectify your personal information.

How long do we retain your data?

We will only retain your personal information for three (3) years after after the onset of inactive status (cessation of payment of dues) or you are no longer a member of the college.

Diplomates with emeritus status who give their consent for retention of their data after retirement (onset of inactive status due to ceasing practice) for a period of five (5) years with the option of repeated renewal via digital consent.
